Happy Hour News

  • Well done!

Well done everyone! A big thank you and well done to everyone who supported or took on the Happy Hour challenge this week to raise awareness about the benefits of lighter evenings! We had people from across the UK support the campaign, including employees, motorists, cyclists, parents, teachers and students. In London we had a great evening of drinks and debate with Rebecca Harris MP for Happy Hour, which led to Happy Hour dinner, and for some Happy Hour clubbing! We also received good coverage in the press. We will be running more Happy Hour events in the Christmas period and in the run up to the clock change next spring, assured that we will continue to bang the drum for lighter evenings! If you haven’t yet done so, please tell us about your experiences of having a lighter evening on our comment page. We want to hear from you! Finally, the organisers of Happy Hour made a personal commitment to raise money for our chosen charity Mind, and we still have a bit more to raise. We would be really grateful of you could make a small donation or contribution to support the fantastic work that this charity does to ensure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
